Ensure people come to your store open Day
The launch is THE most important event for your cafe or restaurant. There will be no other time your store will shine as bright than the opening.
This is your 15 minutes of fame so take the opportunity to maximise attention, get customers and start the journey of getting them back for a return visit.
Many cafe and restaurant owners work so hard at getting their venue ready for opening. But fail to take the opportunity to give their venue the best start to its life by not planning an opening event. It is the best opportunity because humans are curious beings that naturally gravitate positively to new things - new car, new baby, new house, new clothes, new jewellery, new anything.
Of course you can plan for a promotion a few months after your venue is opened, but it will not be the same. I have launched many stores and implemented many store promotions to see a distinct difference between a store opening event and an event later on.
Plan 2+ months before opening
Give yourself at least 2 months to plan your Open Day and absolutely no less than 1 month. Opening a cafe or restaurant is a major investment so have a plan on how you’re going to get customers to your doors.
